Blackwoodbox is a creative branding studio based in Kerala, India. We design brand identities and websites, and we create lightweight digital integrations for client communication including WhatsApp flows.

2. What we collect

• Contact details you share with us such as name, email, and phone number.
• Project materials you provide such as brand assets and website content.
• Message metadata related to communications such as timestamps or delivery status where applicable.
• Technical and usage data such as IP address, device, browser, and server logs for security and performance.
• Cookies used for basic functionality and traffic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to enquiries and deliver projects (contractual necessity or legitimate interests).
• To operate WhatsApp communication flows (legitimate interests and consent where required by platform policy).
• To maintain security and improve our services (legitimate interests).
• To comply with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records).

4. Who processes your data

• Email and hosting providers used for routine studio communications.
• Analytics and security tools used in aggregate to improve site performance.

We are evaluating WhatsApp Cloud API for future use. We do not currently process your data through WhatsApp or a Business Solution Provider from this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and request any required opt-in.

5. Where your data lives

• Blackwoodbox systems used for studio operations.
• Partner systems such as Meta and Gupshup when messaging features are used.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Message logs follow the normal retention practices of the relevant platforms.

7. Your rights

• Request access to your data and receive a copy.
• Ask for corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data (see our Data Deletion Policy).
• Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
• Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.

8. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. WhatsApp message transport is managed by Meta’s infrastructure. We encourage you to avoid sharing sensitive information unless required for the project.

9. International transfers

Data handled by Meta, Gupshup, or other processors may be processed outside India under contractual and technical safeguards consistent with recognized standards.

10. Children

Our services are intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. We will post updates with a new effective date.
