1. How to Request Deletion
Email [email protected] with the subject Data Deletion Request. Include your full name, contact number or email, and any identifiers that help us locate your records (for example, your WhatsApp number or a project reference).
2. What We May Store
- Basic contact details shared during enquiries or projects.
- Project files, brand assets, and website materials you provide.
- Operational metadata related to communications such as timestamps or delivery status where applicable.
3. Where Your Data Lives
- Blackwoodbox systems: secure storage used for studio operations.
- Partners: not in use for messaging at this time. If we enable WhatsApp Cloud API in the future, we will update this page and reflect the relevant partner details.
4. Process and Timelines
- We acknowledge your request within 3 business days.
- We delete eligible data from our systems and, if your data is processed through partners, we will forward the request to them or guide you on completing deletion in their systems.
- We aim to complete our part within 7 business days, unless we have a lawful basis or obligation to retain certain records.
5. What We Delete vs. What We May Retain
- Deleted: contact details, project content we control, and operational logs that are not required for legal or compliance purposes.
- May be retained: records we are legally required to keep (for example, accounting and contractual records) and data that has been aggregated or anonymized so that it no longer identifies you.
6. Verification
We may ask for reasonable information to confirm your identity and your relationship to the records before completing the request. This helps protect your data from unauthorized deletion.
7. Confirmation
We will email you once deletion is complete, or explain any lawful basis for limited retention.
